Welcome to our first Critter Q&A Post. We hope you enjoy it!
Pet Types and Names:
Reese – Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Mocha – Bernese Mountain Dog
Moose – English Mastiff
Tido – Long-haired Chihuahua
Q: Do you talk to your pets? If so, what do you talk about? What do they say back?
All the time! Just normal things like, "Bless you." "Why so sad?" (usually to mopey Moose) "Excuse me."…not full conversations, of course. 😉
Q: Imagine your pet as a human? What do they do for a living? What is their personality like?
Reese would be that mama's boy who NEVER moves out. He is permanently attached to his mom. He is very attuned to other people's emotions. He would also be a very metro-guy. He likes fluffy purple pillows, tanning in the sun, has a sweet tooth, and loves long naps. Him and Tido have a very confused love affair going on. 🙂
Tido would be that feisty, loud, short man who always has something to prove in order to compensate for being so small. He has a mercurial personality…one minute trying to fight someone, and the next cuddling with and loving them. Despite all of this, everyone still would love him, and he is the party starter.
Moose would be that shut in nerdy type. He's scared of EVERYTHING, even though he's so big! He also is allergic to everything…and would probably have an inhaler on him at all times!
Mocha would be that social butterfly who is eternally happy, never shy, and somewhat of an airhead. She'd be the girl frolicking around the school yard singing to herself or trying to get everyone to give her hugs. She's also the queen of the roost…NOBODY steals her bones! (Although Tido can get away with sneaking a few licks).
Q: Is there a life lesson that you have learned from your pet?
Always show those you love how much you love them. Any day can be their last. Also, there's no such thing as too many naps!
Q: To you, what does it mean to be a responsible pet owner?
Treating your dog with the same love, respect, and care you would for a child.
Q: How have your pets changed your life?
When my husband travels for work, they are my best friends. When I'm sad, they know and always give me extra attention. Reese is my soul mate; don't worry, my husband has accepted this. 🙂 Water-phobia Reese even jumped right into the bathtub with me the one day! Judging by his eyes bugging out of his head, he immediately regretted his decision.
Thank you to Elise for sharing such sweet info about her dogs.
