Natasha – A Critter Case Study

May 7, 2015

Last year I did my first official cat massage and it meant the world to me.

Natasha was an ill and frail kitty. She had very little time left for this world. Since this was my first time touching her, I did gentle, superficial massage for a few minutes to see how receptive she was. After about five minutes she got up and went to the kitchen to get a bite to eat. Then she came back asking for more. Of course I gave her more…as much as she wanted.

Her mom was pleased with Natasha's response and acceptance. Since we knew Natasha wasn't going to be around much longer, I showed her mom some soothing techniques she could use to give her and Natasha both comfort. When Natasha passed away just a couple days later, her mom told me she was happy that she had been able to give Natasha extra comfort and bonding time in those last special days.

I have a wonderful mission on this earth!
